Feature Request: ability to set per search ack options
Reported by John Purnell | December 11th, 2008 @ 08:38 AM
It would be useful to be able to add to or negate any of the ack options which are set by default (in ack or the bundle code) or set in any read .ackrc on an individual search basis.
This could be done by adding a scrolling text box to the "Advanced options" drawer (there is even an existing space for it - at the bottom preferably) in which ack options could be added that would be appended to those already read.

Heh... me again.
It's not a bad idea as such, it's just that opening up the command line to the dialog means I'd have to build-in better error checking.
I'm not personally able to devote any time to new features right now but if some other kind soul manages to add features I'm certainly open to merging them in.
My only requirement is that features can't turn the dialog into a sea of options and that the ack-standalone script should be the publicly available version.
